Welcome to this Penguicon Virtual Presentation.
To join this presentation please visit: https://www.fa...ingsakuraart/ People who can’t even draw a stick figure, this workshop is for you! Never used a paint brush? No problem! In this workshop we will go over the basics of watercolor painting and learn the step by step process of creating the magic of deep space art. All artists, aspiring artists, or those just flirting with the idea of art are welcome! Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies to join the fun.
My Penguicon presentation has been moved to Virtual Penguicon! Which means now anyone can join and watch!
I'll be doing a live Galaxy Watercolor painting going over the basics of watercolors and the step by step process I go through to get those amazing galaxies!!
I will try to get the bulk of this done within an hour, but I'm willing to keep it longer if there's questions and such that pop up.
If you want to join I recommend the following items:
- Watercolor brushes (try for a smaller or medium round (size 6 to 10)
- Watercolor paper or watercolor block (140lb is preferred)
- Masking tape (or artist tape) for watercolor paper (not needed for watercolor block)
- Watercolor paints any color is fine, just try to get some light and dark colors for contrast. I usually use yellow, pink, purple, blue, and black (try to find at least studio grade if not artist grade. For artist grade I usually use QOR or Daniel Smith)
If you want any links to items I use please let me know and I'll try to find some recommendations.
Let's get painting!!!
