At the beginning of the 1970s computer games were not a part of the arcade. By the end of the 1970s computer games were everywhere. One of those companies that became synonymous with the explosion of computer games into the arcades was Atari. By 1996 the company that put computer games on the map was a bankrupt shell of its former glory. What happened along the way? We'll cover the inception of Atari and the various colorful characters that helped create this unique company. We'll explore some of the stories along with the victories, defeats, and tragedies of this Engineering-driven Aquarian Technology company. We'll cover how Atari went from the creativity of Nolan Bushnell to ending up as Jack Tramiel's revenge against Commodore. Come learn about this pivotal company's legacy.
